Boy I just realized I’= ve only shot once this year. What a bum!

Any way, just in case you all didn’t hear… I’m having a fundraiser on Oct. 25^{th
from 11am to 6pm. It is for HARPS – hooved
animal protection society. So far we have 7 Sergio Lub=

It will be at my store (Tidbit’s Mercantile) in Metamora at 703 W. mt. Vernon = right on 116 just past Mc Donalds. I’m also wantin= g to promote Cowboy Action Shooting so The 45 Kid, Aimless and I will be dressed= in our cowboy gear and I hope you all will show up too (wearing your co= wboy clothes) to help promote cas and help raise some money for harps! We will be selling popcorn, peanuts, soda and giving out balloons. Please join us in helping promote CAS and help save a horse! Plea= se just come and hang out with us and tell lies (I mean stories)

H= ow about all that water? Well, IR= 17;ll tell you about it. September In The Rain wasn’t just the name of a song, it was the description of our match too, but nine daring souls bang= ed away at steel from the shelter of the practice range, keeping relatively = dry, and from what I hear, having fun doing it. Looks like Partner had the most waterproof bullets. Sometimes, adversity makes for a strangely enjoyable time. However, I was not among the bra= ve few clanging steel, for I was a victim of the mega-rains - busying myself with the wet-vac sweeping water for 25 hours straight. But Partner took over at the range with Kory and Outlaw backing him up, and the cowboy match went off as planned, weather = and all. Good thing it wasnR= 17;t planned a week later or we would have had to swim to the range. Ha! Anyway, thanks to all who showed= up to shoot, who helped make it work, and thanks especially to Sue for the food after. What a wonderful relief that mus= t have been for all. I’ve got plans for stages in the fire for October already cooking with special requests from Decadent Dave who is just dying for a Badger Sweep.

O= n to November. Remember November= is our side match-type shoot with cookout after, = so we are going to need some help in running some of the matches and spelling o= ff some of the people who will be running them so they can shoot too. Broomtail and somebody else needs to bring chili. Other than that it is a bring what you = want sort of picnic thing. Bad w= eather will send us to the club house. BYOB after all the stuff is put away and the guns are put up if you want. Here’s what I h= ave planned:

A= Wild Bunch stage in cowboy town - needed will be 2 single action pistols, lever rifle, 97 Win shotgun, 1911 fixed sight .45 cal pistol w/ 2 magazines and plenty of ammo. You will love this. <= /span>

L= ong range rifle for lever action pistol caliber, lever action rifle caliber, single shot rifle caliber.

S= peed Stage: SAA pistol and lever rifle only - also a good stage for anyone who= is a beginner and wants to try out this sport, or for those who would like to try it with guns they don’t normally use at the regular matches. The stage will be simple and eas= y and fast.

S= peed Pistol: Just what it sounds like Everybody ought to try it at least once = just to know.

P= ocket pistol: Drag out those old junkers and get th= em hot again.

D= erringer: For you double barrel pistol lovers.&nbs= p; Let’s see how fast you can shoot one.

A= nd before you decide you can’t shoot some one thing you would like to = try to shoot because you don’t own a particular gun= ,.... PLEASE ask a couple of the folks around there and see if someone will let= you shoot their gun. Most of us= bring extra ammo for just such circumstances.&= nbsp; It’s just the cowboy way anyway, and it furthers our sport. =

We represented well at Fall Round Up in Milan the last weekend of Sept. Cripple Creek Kory = was 4^th Men’s Traditional. Partner was 1^st Gunfighter. Part= ner’s Partner was 1^st L= adies Duelist. Granville Stuart w= as 1^st Mens Silver Senior. Broomtail Betsy was 3^{rd
Ladies Silver Senior.}
