GATE KEYS
There have been recent occurrences where members have permitted their children to use their gate key to obtain entrance to the Club Grounds without the member being present. The Club By-Laws REQUIRE that the Club Member BE PRESENT when their children are using the Club Facilities.
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE/LEND YOUR GATE KEY TO YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN TO USE THE FACILITIES WITHOUT YOU BEING ON THE GROUNDS WITH HIM/THEM.
MEMBERSHIP
Our 2004 Annual Membership is full. Any and all Annual Membership applications or late renewals received will be returned to the sender. The next time that we can accept any New Annual Member applications is January 2005. There are openings for Annual Members who desire to upgrade their Annual Membership to Associate-Life Membership status. The cost is $500 and can be paid in installments. If interested, contact any officer to obtain an application.
LAKE
The Club FISHING REGULATIONS are posted on the Entrance Gate and are summarized below:
No minnow fishing.
No bass may be taken from the lake at this time.
Only 2 Catfish & 6 pan fish (Bluegill &/or Crappie in aggregate) may be taken.
Violators should be reported to one of the Club Officers or Directors.
The Club Lake is for the enjoyment of all members & not for just a few fish hogs!!

MUZZLELOADING MATCHES
The first two events are history. Bugs were worked out. There are and will be relays for all types of muzzle loading firearms, both older and modern. The first 20-minute relay starts at 8:00 a.m. but you can join in any new relay up to 9:30 a.m. Shooting distances are from 25, 50, & 100 yards with a variety of shooting positions.

SPORTING RIFLE
The Sporting Rifle League begins at Range #1, on Monday, May 3, @ 5:30 p.m. The League ends Monday, September 27, excluding Memorial Day & Labor Day. The cost is $3 per entry or $30 for a season pass. There will be 4 separate matches each Monday evening – Rimfire Benchrest; Rimfire Sporting Rifle; NRA Sporting Rifle; & Service Rifle. Match descriptions are:
Rimfire Benchrest: 5 shots on each of 4 targets from the concrete benches using any 22 cal rimfire rifle – any sights.
Rimfire Sporting Rifle: 32 shots total fired on the SR1 target at 50 meters from 3 positions. 8 shots fired offhand; 8 shots rapid fire sitting; 8 shots rapid fire prone; & 8 shots slow fire prone using any rimfire rifle – any sights.
NRA Sporting Rifle: 32 shots total fired on the SR1 target at 100 yards from 3 positions. Positions are the same as for the Rimfire Sporting Rifle using open sights.
Service Rifle (M1, M1A, AR15, 1903 Springfield, ……) - open sights: 32 shots total fired on differing targets at 100 yards from 3 positions. 8 shots fired offhand at the SR! target; 8 shots rapid fire sitting at the SR1 target; 8 shots rapid fire prone at the SR1 target; 8 shots slow fire prone at the MR31 target. MAUSER MATCHES
Results of the April competition based on the recently instituted handicap system were:
First: Joe Lee Czech 98/22 Mauser 8x57mm 216-1X
Second: Dennis Lage Yugo M48 Mauser 8x57mm 211-2X
Third: Mike LaGiglia Mosin-Nagant Carbine 8x57mm 204-5X
Max Koehl won the Special Prize for the highest score shot with a fixed bayonet. Congratulations to Max.
The May Match, will feature a Special Prize for the person who fires the highest score shot from the prone position during a Special 8:00 a.m. Relay.

TRAP NEWS
There will be NO OPEN SHOOT on Sunday, May 2, because of the Bulls-Eye Match on Range 1 that day.
The annual 20 gauge or smaller will take place on Sunday, May 16, @ 11:00 a.m. Each participant will shot at 50 targets.

CLUB WEB SITE & E-MAIL NOTICE
The newsletter and calendar are available for viewing on-line. Back issues of the newsletter are available as well and the club activities information are periodically updated. Check it out. The web site address is listed at the top of each monthly newsletter.
Many of you newer members and some of you older members have provided the Club with your e-mail address. The Club will be e-mailing you your monthly newsletter. If you have provided your e-mail address and have not received your monthly newsletter via e-mail, please let us know via e-mail so that we can get your correct e-mail address. (Some of the e-mailed newsletters have come back as undeliverable due to a bad e-mail address) You will also continue to receive a hard copy of the newsletter, until we hear from you that the e-mail version is sufficient. The Club can then delete your name from the club newsletter printing and mailing list. This will save the Club money (just over $.50 per newsletter).
