A
Word From Our President-Elect
As President-elect for 2012, I'd like to thank the membership for granting me the privilege of serving the club in this capacity. This is a great honor and I will do my absolute best to help make ours a better organization for everyone. I've been a club member for a number of years and am just now concluding a two-year occupancy as a board member.
I retired from
the IL National Guard as a master sergeant with 22 years total service and
presently work full-time for a charitable non-profit organization. During my
time with the Guard, I held supervisory and managerial positions and
served on our advanced marksmanship unit, helping earn several state
and national-level championship titles. I'm an NRA Benefactor Life Member,
pistol instructor, rifle instructor and range safety officer. I also
successfully completed the program for Illinois certified police firearms
instructors.
I've been involved
in the shooting sports for 30-plus years, and at one time or another
have participated in many of our organized activities. I have no
favorite organization; I like all our children so to speak and want to see them
grow to achieve their fullest potential. I've been to other clubs and
ranges throughout the country and can state that ours is certainly one of the
best. The sum of our organizations and activities have made the CSC
a tremendous body with equally tremendous potential. We've got
something for nearly everyone.
I strongly urge
anyone with ideas, observations and criticisms to contact either myself or any
board member. We want an open forum with active
participation. Additionally, please accept this as an open
invitation to attend our monthly meetings. The club does not belong to the
board: it belongs to each and every member. Membership in the CSC is a
privilege.
I would like to
thank our present board for their tireless efforts in helping secure a
positive future for us all. Their hard work reflects well their extreme
personal dedication and relentless desire to be of service.
I am excited to
begin working with those who comprise our 2012 board. We have great
people with positive vision and we will do our best to propel our club into a
bright and secure future.
Kevin Hutchison,
President-elect 2012
